Dave Scrivines is a regional scout for the Boston Red Sox. He scouts the minor leagues; specializing in independent baseball.
The landscape in the minor leagues will be much more competitive with contractions in draft rounds and reduction in the number of teams. It is simple mathematics; supply and demand. There will be more players competing for fewer jobs. The responsibility falls on the individual players to "know their game" and make themselves competitive in this new and drastically changed market.
